Australia and Singapore have carried out coaching to upskill and enhance interoperability in counter-chemical, organic, radiological, nuclear, and high-yield explosives (CBRNE) missions.

The exercise concerned scenario-based CBRNE simulations aboard the Perth-class guided missile destroyer HMAS Brisbane because it was stationed at Sembawang in northern Singapore.

Contributors included the Australian Military’s Particular Operations Engineer Regiment (SOER) personnel and their Singapore Military counterparts.

“It was nice working along with the Singapore fight engineers from 39 Battalion, our Defence Science and Know-how Group and Singapore’s DSO Nationwide Laboratories to make use of our collective abilities to sort out some actually complicated drawback units,” SOER contingent commander Captain O stated.

The latest coaching aligns with Australia and Singapore’s assist of the Proliferation Safety Initiative.
