Rheinmetall Sending 20 Extra Marder Infantry Automobiles to Ukraine

Rheinmetall is supplying 20 further Marder infantry combating autos (IFV) to Ukraine as a part of a German authorities contract.

Berlin awarded the multi-million-euro contract in Might as a part of a 2.7-billion euro ($2.9 billion) protection bundle for Ukraine.

The autos are scheduled to be delivered this summer season.

Ukraine May Obtain 120 Marders this Yr

Ukraine has already obtained 40 Marders: 20 shipped by Rheinmetall and 20 by the German authorities from its army inventory.

Rheinmetall said that it might ship a further 60 Marders to Ukraine at a price of as much as 10 autos per 30 days. It added that work is already underway in its Kassel and Unterlus vegetation.

In the meantime, Germany will ship 40 Marders to Greece underneath the Ringtausch program.
