The US Military has contracted an Internationally-owned CACI agency to develop an digital warfare suite prototype for the dismounted soldier.
Mastodon Design will construct and display the Terrestrial Layer System – Brigade Fight Crew (TLS-BCT) Manpack prototype for $1.5 million in 9 months.
The section 1 contract award follows six months of aggressive white papers and technical evaluations.
Digital Warfare Suite
The TLS-BCT is an built-in suite of indicators intelligence, digital warfare, and our on-line world operations.
Interoperable with different TLS programs, it offers situational consciousness via detection, identification, location, exploitation, and disruption of enemy indicators.
“The TLS BCT Manpack compliments the TLS BCT and TLS Echelons Above Brigade (EAB) household of programs with a shared and open programs method that creates the pliability and efficiencies wanted towards a extremely adaptive menace,” Venture Supervisor, Digital Warfare and Cyber (PM EW&C) Kenneth Strayer stated.
Lockheed has already been chosen for the vehicle-mounted TLS BCT and the truck-mounted TLS EAB packages.
Fifty-Two Manpacks Requested for 2024
PM EW&C plans to transition the TLS BCT Manpack from prototyping to manufacturing in fiscal 2024.
A complete of 56 TLS BCT platforms have reportedly been requested by the military in fiscal 2024, together with 52 TLS BCT Manpacks.
